Road Cycling

So I decided that I wanted to do some cycling. It seems to be a healthy sport to get into. I've been trying to lose some weight and counting calories while running each day. Men's Health had a pretty good article on Cycling vs Running, which showed some benefits to cycling. With my mind made up, I began looking further into cycling.

First I searching online for a good road cycle, and found a great deal on PerformanceBike.com for the 2010 Fuji Roubaix 3.0, which cost me $700, including shipping to store. The bike would be shipped to the closest PerformanceBike shop to me, in Philadelphia. My wife ended up buying the bike for me as an early birthday gift (my bday is in July). The bike is a 62cm, which is fine for me since I'm 6' 3".

If you want to know what size bike is best for you, check out the Bicycle Frame Size Calculator. Just to be safe I had also visited a bike shop near my workplace to see how comfortable it'd be.

After purchasing the bike, I realized I had only 1 problem. How would i transport it back home?!?!!
I spoke to a friend who has been cycling for a while and he recommended the Thule bike hitch racks. I started searching Craigslist for them and came across a nice deal on

My First Post

Hello World!

I've never blogged before and didn't think I would ever, but look at me now.
Not exactly sure what I'll use this space for. Might post random crazy thoughts and ideas that I have. Yes, they can be really crazy at times. I don't think this will be a daily thing for me, but I hope to continue doing this.
Let's see where this goes from here....
